Cliff Schuman, LMFT
Services
I provide psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, couples and families.
My services for individuals include, but are not limited to, the following issues: anxiety, depression, LGBTQ issues, relationship issues, loss or grief, self-esteem issues, social phobias, trauma, sexuality, stress management and life transitions.
I have a speciality in trauma informed practices of IFS, AEDP, and Brainspotting. I am a certified EMDR Therapist with EMDRIA and am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), having finished an extensive 3 year training.
Couples are welcome in my practice at any stage during their relationship -- from dating, engaged, partnered, married, or any stage in between.
Family therapy can be helpful as it can introduce more balance and understanding to challenging family dynamics and allows for various members to "voice" their needs in a supportive setting.
I offer 45-minute weekly sessions for individuals.
I offer 60 minute session times for couples and families.
When appropriate, I may offer longer or double sessions.
Telehealth and telephone sessions are also available.

Therapy is a space just for you. Unlike most relationships in your life, your therapist can listen objectively. They can help you look at different points of view without the pressure of judgement or emotion.

Often we are not aware of the feelings that are connected to our thoughts or actions. When we shut off these feelings, they may come through into other parts of your life , i.e, dreams, undesired behaviors and could possibly "explode" unexpectedly. When these feelings are exposed, verbalized and understood, then TRANSFORMATION occurs........
